Tennis courts in Moschato-Tavros

Moschato-Tavros is one of the few municipalities in Attica that sells a straightforward annual membership for the public tennis court: €80 for ten months if you are a registered resident, €120 if not, with substantial discounts and free categories. It also runs mini tennis for children. Registration is in person only and payment is by card or e-banking only. The confusing part is the address: the municipality gives two different street corners for the same court on two different pages.

How to book a municipal court — Sports Departments (Τμήματα Αθλητισμού) of the Municipality of Moschato-Tavros

  1. 1Decide what you want: the tennis court for the public with a ten-month membership, or mini tennis for children aged 5-12 with an eight-month, four-month or monthly membership.
  2. 2Go in person to the Κλειστό Γυμναστήριο Μοσχάτου, Μιαούλη 60, Mon-Fri 09:00-20:00, or to the former Tavros town hall during the published hours.
  3. 3Take with you a medical certificate (ιατρική βεβαίωση) from a cardiologist or general physician, a paediatrician for children, a photocopy of your ID, one small photograph and a photocopy of a utility bill (λογαριασμός ΔΕΚΟ). If you qualify for a discount, also a tax assessment notice or a certificate of low income.
  4. 4Pay the fee exclusively by e-banking or at the POS terminal: cash is not accepted.
  5. 5If you are re-registering, bring all the documents again. The municipality warns explicitly that this applies to existing members too.

Price
Tennis court for the public: a ten-month membership of €80 for registered residents and residents, €120 for everyone else. Mini tennis for children aged 5-12: eight months €120 or €170, four months €70 or €90, monthly €20 or €30. A 50% discount for families with three or more children, single-parent families and students meeting income criteria. Free for people with disabilities (ΑμεΑ) with a disability of 67% or more, families with a disabled member, and people on low incomes or unemployed.

Opening hours
Children's tennis and mini tennis classes: Wed and Fri 17:00-20:00. Registration at the Κλειστό Γυμναστήριο Μοσχάτου Mon-Fri 09:00-20:00, and at the former Tavros town hall Mon and Wed 10:00-12:00 and Fri 17:30-19:00.

What is not published
  • — The municipality publishes two different addresses for the same court: Ολύμπου and Θεσσαλονίκης on the sports sites page, and Πλάτωνος and Λ. Κατσώνη in the class schedule. The lessons and sports events take place at Πλάτωνος and Λ. Κατσώνη.
  • — The municipality publishes no hours or booking system for free use of the court by members.
