Tennis courts in Kaisariani

Kaisariani has a proper municipal Κέντρο Αντισφαίρισης (tennis centre) with three courts, two full size and one mini, at the old Σεβαστουπόλεως facilities, and the operating regulations state explicitly that individual members of the public can play free of charge during the hours not allocated to clubs. The practical problem is that the municipality posts neither the weekly schedule nor a price list.

How to book a municipal court — Department of Education, Sport and Youth (Τμήμα Παιδείας, Αθλητισμού και Νέας Γενιάς)

  1. 1Call the Municipality of Kaisariani and ask for the Office for the Planning and Development of Sports Activities (Γραφείο Προγραμματισμού και Ανάπτυξης Αθλητικών Δραστηριοτήτων), to find out which hours at the Κέντρο Αντισφαίρισης have not been allocated to clubs.
  2. 2If you just want to play, access to the outdoor courts is free of charge during the unallocated hours. For indoor facilities you fill in an application-declaration (αίτηση-δήλωση) stating the facility and the exact day and time.
  3. 3On the application, declare that you are in good health, that you enter at your own risk and that you have read the operating regulations. The responsible official checks availability and approves or rejects it.
  4. 4For lessons and organised training, contact the Αθλητικός Όμιλος Αντισφαίρισης Καισαριανής (Kaisariani Tennis Club), the club that runs the courts.

Price
Use of the municipality's sports sites by individuals who are not members of a club is free of charge, during the hours not allocated to training sessions and matches, according to the operating regulations. For amateur clubs based in Kaisariani the facilities are granted free of charge.

Opening hours
The municipal sports facilities are open Mon-Sun 07:00-22:30. At the outdoor courts the time may be extended, case by case, until 23:30.

What is not published
  • — The municipality publishes no price list or fee: the amount is set by a separate regulatory decision which is not posted.
  • — The municipality publishes no weekly schedule of use for the Κέντρο Αντισφαίρισης and no online booking platform. The regulations state only that the municipality may set one up.
  • — The municipality gives the location of the centre only as «παλιές εγκαταστάσεις της Σεβαστουπόλεως» (the old Sevastoupoleos facilities), with no full postal address.
  • — The municipality's «Αθλητισμός για Όλους» (Sport for All) programme does not include tennis.
