Tennis courts in Alimos

Alimos has the most organised booking system without a platform that you will come across: four municipal courts, registration by email with a personal code, and fixed booking hours with priority for registered residents on Thursday. The two newer courts, the «Μπλε» (Blue), were delivered in January 2024 on the Πανί hill. The annoying part is that you have to catch a three-hour window a week on the telephone, and that nowhere does it say whether you are charged.

How to book a municipal court — Municipality of Alimos (Δήμος Αλίμου)

  1. 1Download the registration form from the municipality's tennis courts page and fill it in. It is at the same time a solemn declaration (υπεύθυνη δήλωση) that you are in good health and that you are not a professional tennis coach.
  2. 2Send the completed form with the supporting documents to alimos.gipeda@gmail.com. Within two days you will receive a reply email with your personal booking code.
  3. 3Call 2109942500 giving only your personal code. Registered residents (δημότες) and residents of Alimos book every Thursday 09:30-12:30, everyone else every Friday 09:30-12:30, for the following week and up to twice a week per code.
  4. 4Go to the court at the time of your booking with your ID or your resident card (κάρτα δημότη). Your details are checked on the spot.

Bookings every Thursday 09:30-12:30 for registered residents (δημότες) and residents of Alimos, and every Friday 09:30-12:30 for everyone else, always for the following week. Information by phone daily 10:00-15:00.

What is not published
  • — The Municipality of Alimos does not publish a price or fee for the use of the municipal tennis courts. Neither the bookings page nor the application form mentions a cost.
  • — No opening hours for the courts themselves are published, only the hours during which the service takes bookings.
  • — The municipality does not give exact addresses for the «Μπλε» (Blue) and «Πράσινο» (Green) courts; both are on the Πανί hill.
  • — The links for the Δελτίο Καταγραφής Αθλουμένου and the safety instructions point to the old thopaa.gr and redirect to its homepage, so ask for them by email.
